About Us:
As a liaison between Ain Wazein Medical Village and the Ministry of Public Health, the infectious disease (ID) unit provides comprehensive services to both surgical patients and patients admitted to medical wards, ranging from diagnosis to treatment. The unit is responsible for the management of transmissible diseases, pandemics, national epidemics or regional outbreaks. It
Services:
- Investigate and control communicable diseases and nosocomial infections, analyze data and prepared statistics, and report to the Ministry of Public Health the infections that can be potentially part of a community outbreak
- Optimize the use and abuse of antibiotics so that patients get the best treatment with minimal resistance induction and with cost containment
- Screen antibiotics so that only legitimate and certified genetic or original antibiotics that are FDA or AMM approved are being used according to International guidelines
- Work actively on staff education in cooperation with nursing and medical administration
